About Mount Fuji Climbing Procedure

Shizuoka Prefecture will implement Mount Fuji Climbing Regulations starting in 2025. The climbing regulation requires the following entry procedures:
  • ・ Completion of Pre-study (e-learning) regarding preservation and safe climbing rules and manners for Mount Fuji
  • ・ Entry from 2 PM to 3 AM requires an overnight stay at a mountain lodge
  • ・ Pay the entry fee
Please pay 4,000 yen per person, per entry.
  • Note that Shizuoka Prefecture does not set a daily limit on the number of climbers.
If you are climbing via the Fujinomiya Trail, Gotemba Trail, or Subashiri Trail, please download the SHIZUOKA FUJI NAVI app, complete pre-registration, and obtain a climbing permit.
The climbing permit will be verified at the trail entrance on the climbing day. To receive the climbing permit, you must install the SHIZUOKA FUJI NAVI app on your smartphone and pass the pre-study test. Please complete the pre-registration and receive the climbing permit before the climbing day to start your climb smoothly.
